YOU WILL NEVER STOP LEARNING AT DRAKENSBURG INJISUTHU CAMP

It was again a priviledge to be chosen to join other leaders from KZN and Dre Koppies Mpumalanga at the Drakensburg mountains in order to learn and enhance my leadership qualities. It was really fun and adventurous though challenges are always the but nothing can beat team work. We arrived there thursday afternoon and all went well as usual in present of our Mentors Doctor Mabila, Schalk and Ayanda. We had visitors from the UK London Aran and Sam. These two great guys changed the complexion of the hike through diversity and having to learn more from them through their previous experience prior to hiking and life skills. We had to first settle in at Grindstone Cave as we where late which we manage to do as a group and we slept there until the following day Friday. It was not the my first time but as a person you will never stop learning from different people of different thinking capacity and skills. For me I learnt much and better this time not to take things for granted wat stood up for me which it does always when we work as team and not been judgmental to one another and I was touched by Doctor's reflection as we all know that he is a hard working guy who sometimes forgets that he needs a break but because of that he is passionate about his work the Drakensburg hiking always brings the best from him as he is able to rest and be away from every day life, because when you are at Drakensburg you have no phone no one to talk to at home beside the people you are with or the nature itself which is a great and an opportunity to learn from other people. We had funny characters and very serious character the and the most funniest for me was Ndo from Mpumalanga even though he wasn't himself the first night but through our team efforts he managed to pull through and participate. The following day we had to wake up in the morning to proceed with our hike this time our mendate was to go to Mables bath and sleep at the Mables bath Cave. That was the exciting place of them all at Mables bath as we had to swim even though we had no choice but to swim for your lunch"ha ha ha" which all managed to pass through and had a great lunch together. It was really a good experience indeed for everyone in terms of reflecting to the everyday life we live and to perform what you learnt from the people and nature to your community. I have to thank Youthzones on behalf of everyone for doing the great work to the youths of South Africa and not expecting anything in return but success and excellence from us. Everything with the joy and good moods we where ended up at Doctor's place where we had a braai nd had to meet other young leaders from another sites called Steelport who came to Doctor's place after playing the Sundowns first team juniours and they beat them 3-2 so after all the night was awesome with all coming together as one family and have fun together and get to know each other well. We had so much fun and good network with the all of the guys from London who are currently the voluntered community coaches who helps people with coaching Aids and life skills in terms of soccer specifically. Football indeed makes people of all races to come together as one family. So we all learned much amongst each other which is a great thing to reflect to our normal daily life and communities. Thank you Youthzones. One family big family. Re kaofela

You guys have said it all. People in the city may take life as a rush hour train, yet once in a while you need to unwind and be one with nature.
This trip for me was an eye opener more especially when we were driving away from JHB and saw an enormous cloud of polluted air souring above the city. To think that we breath that everyday. Going to the mountains felt very refreshing.

The Drakensberg Injisuthi was an awesome trip, I really enjoyed being with the guys for 3 days. I learned a lot and made brothers in this beautiful trip. Not only did we learn to make friends but we, also learn't to spread the power of love and human development and love. Love for your nature, love for other people and love for a healthy and social life. There was 9 of us and we all did not know each other when we started this trip but after the trip we left as a family, brothers and friends. A lot was established and accomplished. I enjoyed myself and had fun while figuring out my capabilities and who I am.
Much love and Peace
