From the first day in Naas KamaQhekeza we met with old friends and made new ones. From playing Volleyball with total strangers and taking a swim as form of a brainstorming session to making friends with KamaQhekeza primary and the kids, expressing oneself proved to be a very vital part of our life skills development. One form of this is through poetry. I read a few poems that the kids have written and was touched by a poem written buy Wandile a 14 year boy that plays netball. He writes about personal experience on Abuse that really hit home.

With that said, more young people are expressing themselves in writting at the Principal of KamaQhekeza primary was so willing to give the kids that space to express themselves through art (written and performed) while some Educators from Mjokwane Secondary where not so keen as they rightfully worried that the kids would be disturbed on their exams.

Then the most inspiring experience was the Mama's program where they have their own sowing project, Traditional dance team and play soccer too.

These Mama's are really showing the youth the way forward "Tiluleni ba Make" is the name of the group meaning "mothers stretch yourselves"
