An event it was in Orange farm on the 28th

Glazing Orion from Orange Farm held a youth month celebration yesterday in Ext 9. With the help of Youthzones as the only organisation bold enough to invest in young people's development and ability to prosper, the day was a big success that the local radio station is still talking about it today.

We had so much fun with local celebrities upcoming and recording artists. As always glitches here and there were encountered but non the less we prospered through them.
We had support from the councillor's office as Mr. Vincent was giving motivation to the kids and showing his acrobatic skills. He was pretty fresh for a man in his 60's.

Then we were graced buy the arrival of the Department of correctional services bringing uMa11 a prisoner who is doing community services and a recording artist, who blessed us with firstly motivation about crime and life in prison. Then he went on with his performance witch was electrical. Zaza, Java, Maloya, Nthabiseng and many more where part of our local talent we endorsed on the day.

Two poets that are very good friends of mine leveled the day with inspiration and charisma, Zethu and Dingaan, salute. Azizipho then mesmerised us with her beautiful command of the English language with her speech about Young People. and then we had Soul Fix (a local group managed by Nyambezi Kunene well known as Jabulani on Generations) that did a play on alcohol abuse, school and youth month.

The best performance was by a group called Sijabulile arts group with three items including drums and Zulu dance. The best part was when Ntando the group manager involved the crowd and taught everyone the basics of playing drums. The people loved it and where very involved.

Thanks to Soul Provider, Thetha FM for all the support and agreeing to Direct the programme. A big thanks to Mr. Zulu for lending us his home and for believing in us.

This is to everyone who made the day a success and to the Glazing Orion team. You guys are heroes and heroines.
