Always a pleasure being in Mamelodi. Net ball and Soccer at the same time in the same place, makes you feel the love. beautiful sunset from the hill view, girls and boys sweating and enjoying themselves, Raymond entertaining the younger ones that cannot be part of the play (for now). makes me think of a poem :)

life time lessons learned in the drakensburg mountains from reading the map to reflecting on this important questions about life:who am i and where am i in life and just want to open each and everyone because my eyes are already opened,Experience without reflection is wasted as people we exeperience alot of things but we dont give ourself time to reflect on those exeperiences so that we can grow.......

Hello Friends,

Just a message from the Netherlands Embassy, to thank you again for the great welcome and warm hospitality we received during our visit to Mamelodi on Thursday 20 September. With Schalk and Doc as our ' guides", we met with a lot of people and were able to learn more about your life and your community. And we could play soccer, which is always a nice thing. The social skills (listening, cooperation, common objectives) that we learned will not only benefit us on the pitch, but also in real life, including in our diplomatic world! As promised, we hope to come back with an "orange" team and play against you in a friendly spirit. Hopefully we can make the goals a little bit bigger and hopefully we can make your goal (the one we have to score in) a bit bigger than ours (the one we have to defend).......All the best and keep in touch, Andre Haspels, Ambassador
