On the 24th Of September 2011 which is the Heritage Day, there was a massive soccer and netball tournament organized by one of our family member in Freedom Park/Develand Youthzone Site. It was organized by Sesi Sibongile Sibiya. The six a side soccer tournament was consisting of four teams i.e. The Boys FC, Dark City FC A and B and Diepklooof FC. The boys which is the Freedom Team ( which I played for) beat Dark City A 1-0. It was a game in its own level, the speed, technique you name it and the second one was Diepkloof Fc vs Dark City B which ended up in penalties and still, this game was very competitive. And Diepkloof FC won on penalties 3-2.  The final was the boys vs Diepkloof. And it was packed and there was entertainment, DJ's, senior citizens etc. It was just something else. And And freedom Park The Boys won 2-0. And Freedom Park netball girls stood out and won the tournament in a nearby school. And after that the visitors from Diepkloof were invited to have lunch at Sibongile 's house and the food was tasty. The highlight for the day was Kgotso (The Boys player) who is in his own league in terms of technique and style of playing. He was suppose to sign for Pirates because he didn't have soccer boots he didn't return to sign with the team and he was borrowing boots from people and secondly he didn't have transport money. So I had nice chat with him encouraged him to go back and not have excuses or blame and obvious he was fortunate to wear the same size of soccer boots like me. And only R30 couldn't make him travel to Jozi. R30 bucks, I asked how often do I lack R30 in my pocket or even waste it?  And I also met Ahmad, who is bike freestyler, who just caught everyone 's attention with his freestyling and tricks on the bike. By the way Ahmad is the black boy. Thanks to Leon, Sibongile, Bobo and all the participants. It was incredible, exciting and entertaining day.
