Never stop giving your services to your community and individuals

I'm glad that I always serviced my community. I started my community involvement in December 2003 as a community health worker under the organization called Lethabo care givers. I was recruited by a group of volunteers that they were already on the program. I joined them and started working with them. I've learned a lot from the organization if not individuals. I was trained as a CHW by IPH.It was a challenging start because this was my first engagement but I never stopped learning because I really wanted to get started so that I can see myself somewhere. I was with Lethabo care givers since 2003-2005 and while I was involved on health program I was also engaged in community sports activities under the organization called Hammanskraal sports council. The organization also saw a potential on me during my participation on their programs. They then co-opted me on their committee as additional member then later I was elected as the council Public Relations Officer. In 2005 the department of Gauteng sports then launched/introduced a Mass participation program hub in the area where by I got an opportunity to work as a Sports Development Worker from 2005-2009. I was also capacitated in different skills through workshops and trainings so that I can able to deliver and implement was was required of me. I was also trained as a Sports Community Development Worker by UNISA.
In 2010 -2012 I got another opportunity to work as a General Assistant at Temba Depot under Capacity outsourcing. Here it is where I've developed the love to my environment because I was engaged in public cleansing/waste collection (removal). Also here I've learned through workshops to know about environment.
In 2011-2013 I was also engaged as a Youth Safety Ambassador at Hammanskraal SAPS Youth Desk under the supervision of the department of Gauteng community safety.
Since 2014-till to date I'm engaged as a peer educator : Health and Social development volunteer for the City of Tshwane in Region 2.
In life you must not give up dispite the challenges that you can be faced with.
Through all my participation I have also acquired few awards such a CHW Award by GDOH, Sports Development Workers Award by GSRAC,Sports Merit Award by GNSC. Other than awards I attended formal and informal trainings and just to mention few I attended CDW at UNISA,HCM at FPD,Sports club ADM at ITS,Sports club development at UP.
This is just to mention few skills I've gone through.
I also participated as a volunteer during World cup and Confederations cup,CoT DM : Hammanskraal NGO forum Chairman, THNER Community Safety Ambassadors forum Chairman just to mention few.
What I will not forget is my participation in the National IG festivals in 2005 and 2007. I also produced few participants at the hub level that represented the GP team: IG at the National IG festivals.
I'm proud that I've serviced and still continuing to service my community .
They is a lot I've gained and I'm who I am today because of different people and organizations that groomed myself.
So guys never stop learning because learning is a process and it can be if different ways.
We all have purposes in life so never limit yourself.
We can all do the best to our communities.
Lets stand and build...
