When both his parents passed away, he was still at a very tender age and had not yet even completed high school. Many a people would predict a disastrous end to his young promising life. As the first born son, he was left to look after his younger twin brothers as well as one last born. Being orphaned at such an age, Morven Kugoda had all arsenal in the world to feel sorry for himself as many would have understandably done and end up living irresponsible and misguided lives. Many even went to the extent of predicting that he was going to sell the house left behind by his parents due to perilous times that were waiting for him and the dire economic situation that prevailed in the country at that time. However, Morven defied all odds and weathered all storms and soldiered on with life responsibly!!! With little or no help from supposed-to-be guardians, Morven was left with no option but to quickly find effective ways to make ends meet. Under my Youthzones leadership, he, together with Content Makumbe and George Mtisi established their own SME where they offered photocopying, typing and printing services as well as video filming and since then they have never looked back. As we speak, all his siblings have completed high school and have already enrolled at colleges for courses.

Ever since I left Mutare, I am amazed by the progress these boys have made. Might be blowing my own trumpet but they say, "it takes great leaders to groom great leaders". I am very proud to have groomed such great young and versatile leaders who continue doing well and even more in my absence. Their company is growing day by day in spite of all day to day challenges. They recently acquired their own state-of-the-art professional camera and have shown a great deal of resilience, commitment, hard work and vision. As if it's not enough, Morven followed my footsteps and just yesterday, he wedded his childhood sweetheart Sharon. I am proud of this boy and am very humbled by the great sense of responsibility he has shown!!! Welcome to the world of fatherhood Morvy!!! The sky is the limit boy!!
