Gender issues: women face challenges and solutions #gender

Women make up more than half the world's population, but the majority of them live in poverty. for their lives to change, they need access and political power to speak out, and support amongst themselves.

More women are poor than men because of lack or very limited control of resources, limited level of education and because most of their work is unpaid. Most women do not have control to landed property due to cultural, religious and stereotype.

It is said that if you educate a man you educate an individual but if you educate a women you educate a family/nation. Despite this most women are not educated to a higher level like men.

Gender equality can only become an reality if we begin with gender equity. Gender equity in this context means that women should be given some advantage over the men to close up the gap they have suffered in the past
