Honesty

There is one thing I cant run away from. That is MYSELF. I am an individual who is very weak when it comes to confrontations ( I am getting better) simply because I feel/think for others how will they be after I said or done what I needed to do after confrontation. Even saying NO is still a struggle for me. It is not good for me. I guess that 's one reason which made me not to continue playing soccer in elite level or any world where it involves anti-personal/emotional characters. There, is not… Continue

........... pointed a gun at me, Real SA

Since I was born I never saw a hole of the gun pointing at me until 09/Jan/2011, 12h56  when a middle aged white chap pointed a gun at us outside on the street in Honey Dew,  Johannesburg.  I hear people complaining or being victims of hijacks, theft etc by black people, but today it was vice versa. I ( and my new colleague Masi) were invited to a celebration party of black child  who got six distinctions from public school after a lengthy strike in 2010. As we went out after the amazing… Continue

Parenting

Everyday is sad in my work when I see kids, youth roaming around looking for home or place where they will feel loved and being appreciated. You name it, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, SA is all the same case. The solution is not to give that kid that money rather INVEST in social parenting skills and bring the affected parties together. The relationship and fellowship between the parents and children is very… Continue

A man who is being hungry for long

What will stop a man who has been hungry to show off or to have more material from corruption. This man has been hungry for long time. There is that void. Once a opportunity present itself where there is much money or material what will stop this man from taking this away from the poor. Is easy to be greedy when one grew poor/rich with no morals and take everything away from everyone to feel better or replace that void of pain of having nothing in a long time. This man has never has never…

Blaming/shifting responsibility

First downfall of a man. I keep looking at every moment and what I see everyday is US, people, going down or losing the battle simply of shifting responsibility or blaming the others and not realizing we are part of the solution and problem. I always refer to myself, because I am not outside the circle, with all the blunders and failures I had or successes. Victory starts within me once I realize that I am no better than others and realise that I need others and the above Man to live, we are…

"We want to go and play"

I was deeply moved by the words of the New Editions FC Under 17, 15, and senior team when they said please dont buy food to eat rather pay us for transport so we can go and play a match on Saturday. I felt very embarassed and stupid after I thought it will be great get something to eat after a long day of soccer coaching clinic. I just started on reflecting on how easy is to project thoughts not thinking or consider what THEY need or think. How stupid is to think for others rather than coming… Continue

Best qualification

Firstly, who am I to say which one is the best or the worst qualification in this life we are living? To my own life experience, I can say the following, the best qualification is to do the best (or bestest if the word exist) in the little I am entrusted with and lead by example so that when I talk or live with others, I can not be disqualified. To show character and get up when things went wrong in life, no matter… Continue

People queeing for knowledge in Siyabuswa

I am (01/11/2010) here in Siyabuswa for three days already. I have never been so touch deeply by the interest and hunger of the people in the community for technology and to better their lives not to say they are bad or worst rather grow to what they want in their respective lives. This morning, in a space of about 2 hours, almost 30 unemployed youth, young boys and girls, mothers queeing to learn computer, some applying for university some applying for jobs. All of them queeing for one laptop.… Continue

Exploring

There is nothing which beats up Inquisitiveness and exploring. This is the quick way of learning, building one 's confidence. The sad part is that there are million of factors which leads to individuals not be inquisitive or explore hence leading to one who lack knowledge to get worse. Most is simple through manipulation, tradition, insecurity, circumstantial victims who can still make decisions (with or without inspiration). These factors comes in different ways and some we do them not even… Continue

No 12

As usual when Schalk and I when we go a new site we normally start by building friendships, respecting and loving our friends, normally play soccer match, hanging around with them or join them with whatever they are doing and even sharing their homes. We do this non-judgmentally and unconditionally out of our hearts. Now this when it comes to the opposite sex (which makes me excited when we have a lady who will help in this case, I hope so) is very tricky and they are very tricky. This doesnt… Continue

Ken ek myself?

While Driving, from Phuthaditjhaba to Pretoria to Jozi, with my friend Schalk, we were listening Anneli Van Rooyen singing Ken Jou Jouself? I started reflecting on the song and I realise how much most of us walk around less motivated not knowing how special we are or who we are and what we are capable of. If we did we will be living differently. Everyone is special and unique and I always say there is no role model for anyone rather say someone can inspire through one ' life story etc but we…
