We hosted Kaizer Chiefs Under 17 yesterday afternoon and the game was full of energy and enthusiasm.

The aim of the game was for our players to be scouted by Kaizer Chiefs coaches and at the same time enjoying football at its best. Unfortunately we lost 1-0 but fortunate enough our 3 players were selected and they are going for training at Bosmond next week for their first session with the team. 

I say this with pride and confidence. Evaton Arsenal has no peer on its level. We just won a 4 team knock out tournament and anything thats put on the tabke we chew. ABI and Youthzones knw this for a fact, Josh and Danny of fevertree hav e seen it too. Don't get me wrong, i'm not being cockey, im just proud of the boys.

 Talent is important. But the single most important ingredient after you get the talent is internal leadership. It's not the coaches as much as one single person or people on the team who set higher standards than that team would normally set for itself. I really believe that that's been ultimately important for us.

Evaton North YZ Leaders planned a trip to Durban after we heard that Doc and Simon together with ABI are going to have a CSI day in Umlazi. The trip was great from the beginning when Doc said he can take us to Durban with the car, even when things didn't seem to go well at first but our spirits were very high so nothing could touch us. After a year of joining Youthzones, this weekend was an eye opening experience and a joy to my heart, I now  understand the essence and  the purpose of the organization. Seeing other Youthzones members doing what they love. I'm inspired to be a better person, not for me but for other people.

I'm with a lady here in Evaton who is doing her Learner-ship in career guidance and she has been here since the 1rst and yet not many students know that she is here. so i offered to sacrifice my computer classes for her to introduce herself to the students and hold sessions with them coz i really believe that every learner needs some career guidance. hope she'll get the necessary permission.

You know that Doc talks about HUMBLE people, i think two brothers that visited us here in Evaton last Friday  with Schalk, Graham and Doc to come play with the students. those guys where as cool as you can get.  Jeff is one of the boys staying with me in my house he is from Mpumalanga. Jeff saved the best for last. After an up and down season, Jeffrey came oh so close to successfully to win the title. Only the speed of the Free State Champ and eventual winner stood between Jeff and glory..

Jeffrey showed he meant business when he ran the fastest time in half marathon, clocking 1:03min & 47sec in the South African half marathon championship and came 3rd.

On the 15 of October the Evaton North YZ hosted a top4 tournament and each team affiliated with R300 it was a nice weekend for those team because everyone enjoyed the soccer skills and the good organizing of Richard we all appreciate your time brother. the result of the match first game it was Arsenal A v/s Celta Vico and Arsenal A won by penalties 4-2, second game it was Chelsea v/s Arsenal B and Arsenal B won by 1-0. so in the final Arsenal A won the first price of R1200 by beating Arsenal B… Continue

The function was about to give and appreciate the work of their employees.
