SADC REFLECTION

Firstly I would like to thank youthzones and everyone who made the trip to Mozambique Manica possible and to all those who participated to make the trip a success. What I learnt more about the whole trip is we are all unique in our own ways and that one should accept that we are all different in terms of behaviour, opinions and tolerance but am glad everyone showed his/her side on hw to combat things more especally when it came to group tasks everyone tried to participate. The experience I got… Continue

Tug of war, Diketo, Skipping rope, Soccer, Netball and some local dancing skills were some of the activities taking place at Refalotse primary in Wintervield. Thabiso Magolego and his younger brother joined us later on. it was fantastic seeing the whole school being active teachers and learners alike. Great day it was but we ended it up beautifully with a good Netball session with Sunshine Netball where for the first time, I, Ayanda played netball with the girls. Simon and Thabiso joined me…

Gabon Survivors F.C Ladies Soccer on training

It was very nice to see the vibe of soccer back on ladies. They were standing in a circle shape with Cyril in the middle of the circle teaching them soccer Technics, they really enjoyed themselves and it is amazing to see how the number of girls had increased, it shows how badly they wanted to play soccer and Netball. Thanks to our Daveyton hero and hard worker Cyril for…

The beauty of networking at its best

What a big surprise on Saturday, 05th of October 2013, on my visit to Rustenburg site I found my old friends from Tarlton sites playing top four with our new friends in Ikemeleng in Rustenburg. As I arrived, not seeing the Tarlton lads, I just heard someone shouting 'Doc, I knew you work here because of the soccer balls they are using here' and as I look that…

NOTHING CAN STOP GABON SURVIVORS, FORWARD EVER AND BACKWARDS NEVER

We are Finally here. Hi Youthzones, Gabon Survivors is in the house. Gabon Survivors F.C from Daveyton in Gabon informal settlements is a new team which was formed after Samson Mogoba AkA Majakathata said enough is enough, i don't want youthzones anymore, and he said that if the players want to continue playing soccer they must chose whether they want to play for youthzones or Makakathata F.C. Truly speaking Samson is a very selfish guy, he wanted everything to be hes', and he doesn't…

PEACE MAKERS MANAGEMENT HELPING THE GRANDFATHER/MOTHER TO CLEAN A YARD

The management of Peace Makers took time on their busy schedules to help one of our older generations to clean a yard. The management did this on behalf of the players and the team as a whole, because most of their players are working and others are still at school; so they (management) did it for the team.

Peace Makers is one of the oldest teams in our location and it comprises of players who come from farm mostly, and seeing doing this was an encouragement to others as well. THANK…

TORNADO PLAYERS HELPING CHURCH ELDERS IN CLEANING THE YARD

The players went to help the elders of Anglican Apostolic Church in South Africa (A.C.C) on Saturday. They are one of the oldest churches in our location and some of our players go to church, so we heard that they were going to clean the yard and we were willing to help and we are proud that we could help our mothers and fathers on this one. We were welcomed by the Bishop - Mr. Mokoena and other elders, as soon after introductions were went straight to work. The church is trying to build a…
